It was interesting to hear about how their culture is and what all developed before her shooting happened.

A little weird, lots of sex stuff, but it was interesting and fun to learn about someone else's life

ow. I feel like a lot of this book went over my head, but I did catch some interesting and funny things. I'd love to be able to discuss this book with someone because I feel like there is a lot that could be learned from it.

Very interesting to learn about racism and see how crazy it is that people treat each other so poorly based on race, cool to see the story develop and how the lives of the people change

Cool world building, but not nearly as expanded as it could've been. Lots of weird sentences that didn't make sense.

LOVED THIS BOOK!! Loved the spice, loved the nerdyness of the birding. This book made me laugh and smile a lot. I have had a hard time with reading lately, but it was always a pleasure to pick this book up. I'm so excited to read more from this author!

Darby's story was super interesting. Rose's story felt super basic and lacked insightful stuff. It would've been better if Rose's storyline had reflected the changes in the times in New York between Darby's time and hers. I found it hard to pick this book back up every time because I wasn't invested in the characters.
