Very cool concept but ok execution, the twist was predictable and the characters felt flat to me. I think this has potential and some tweaks to timing and writing could elevate it to be something incredible.

I honestly liked this well enough, I think the plot was very thought through. Everything seemed believable and the fights and gore was very cool. BUT! The “twists and turns” felt like I was on a kiddie rollercoaster. It did not shake me the way I want thrillers to. It didn’t surprise me or thrill me. But it wasn’t bad, this is probably a good intro to thriller book.

An amazing commentary on young people processing trauma and complicated life experiences. This is a very subtle emotional read/ listen that will sneak up on you. It is scarily accurate how much this felt like the actual high school experience and how teenagers process grief, abuse, and much more.
