I originally thought this would be a fun summer fling type of read but in reality it is a raw book that dissects relationships at its core. The MC and love interest both deal with some heavy topics and a lot is unearthed about the human mind, emotions, and resilience. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised even if I was caught off guard. Also the smut

I DNF,d at page 145. This was honestly hard to get through, the smut was good but the plot moves so slowly. I have so many books on my tbr that I can’t just push through a boring read to MAYBE enjoy it.
