Technically heard it on a podcast but it built suspense in an amazing way and had great Matheson vibes.

Captivating! Had me hooked and I was at work like, dang, I wish I was reading my book to see how it ends.

Stephen King called this the first great thriller of 2017. Why would he lie to me like that? I took a break from reading The Stand because I was tired of reading something so dialogue-heavy just to be greeted with Final Girls, a book that was almost exclusively dialogue. The exciting part was from 83% to 85% and overall I left very disappointed.

A book about loss but handled well with humor. Reminds me in tone of Furiously Happy. I read this book for free but I’m going to buy a copy of the book just because I enjoyed it enough to want to support the author. Also, you should check out her article, “Why I Take All My First Dates to Olive Garden.”

You know I love a short story. Like Richard Matheson lite.

Richard Matheson is my favorite author and the book is flawlessly executed, per usual. I just don’t like vampires that much.

This is the first book that I’ve finished in a while that I truly adored. I was worried that it would be too similar to Hell House (though Hell House was written after) but it wasn’t. Eleanor was a fun character to be inside the mind of.

Not typically the sort of book I would read but it was a fun little romp!

I mean, I’ve read this book before. I’ve seen the movie multiple times. I adore it quite simply.
