This book was a lot of fun! Not necessarily funny but definitely a fun read. Can’t wait to see what Jordan Peele does with it.
I didn’t rate this book immediately because I couldn’t decide between 4 and 5 stars and I think I would land on 4.5, which I’ll round up. I don’t know what genre this is categorized under but I didn’t think it was particularly tense but I did really like the story and it was a quick little read so rock on, Bird Box.
I didn’t realize I was reading a YA book and I’m not sure I’m the hugest YA fan? Started strong and took a pretty big downturn. I got to a point where I just kept checking how many pages I had left.
I don’t think the GoodReads description really explains what the book is about well but I don’t think I could do a much better job. I guess it’s just a book about people doing the best they can, pandemic or not. I really liked it tho.
A book about two people that I enjoyed immensely. I think the last 25% could have been stronger.
While reviews say that it tended to get sloggy towards the end of 700-odd pages, I disagree. I fucking loved this book. Guess I’ll wait another 20 years for what Chbosky brings next.
DNF! It’s a collection of short stories and I read through some of them and I just wasn’t impressed. I usually finish all books but it just didn’t seem worth my time to keep going through the motions.
I’m glad this only took two hours to read because I didn’t like it. The first four pages were really promising but that was it.
Solid lot of short stories. Love to see some solid wlw representation. Gave me strong Her Body and Other Parties vibes.
