“If there are a million ponds out there, with versions of you and me living similar and different lives, there’s none better than right here, right now. I’m more sure of that than anything in the world.”

Who knew a sci fi thriller romance could make me feel SO MANY EMOTIONS?! This was such a lesson on how infinite our world is, how it’s made up of all our different choices, and how to live with our regrets. All spun into a wildly addicting plot. And the romance? I’ll say it, I didn’t expect the romance to hit as hard as it did. I loved it. Enough said, take my 5 stars.

Any book set in Europe during WWII is going to be impactful. But the fact that this is based on the author’s real family is profound beyond words, and the fact that this is her debut novel is absolutely incredible. The research she put into it to do it justice really shows. I was immersed in each storyline, and the historical blurbs between chapters added impactful backstory.

Though the new series on Hulu is fantastic, I definitely recommend reading this first to digest every piece of vital information. And DO NOT skip the author’s notes at the end!
