The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan

I never got to read these books as a kid, but my younger brother was and is a huge fan. I picked this up because I craved something fast and fun and wanted to see what I was missing. This is now my absolute favorite middle grade series. Officially addicted to Greek mythology and these characters ❤️
A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin

Not my favorite book from the series thus far, but not too far off from great. I don't know if I should attribute this to the fact that I read the first two books without watch the HBO show and picked up book three after finishing the HBO series until this point, or if it's because it was long and dragged at some points unlike the first two. Reader do NOT beware, still an awesome epic fantasy and GRRM does not disappoint! :)
