This book started of good but ended up making no sense.
The whole story became ridiculous and unbelievable and none of the characters were likable.
MMC was insufferable at the beginning. While his change of heart makes sense due to being shot, he was still too alpha male for me and wasn’t a great love interest.
Elle was just plain boring. It also didn’t make sense how quickly she was able to move on from her son’s death and then just randomly have sex with a man she literally barely knows.
Overall the mystery of the book was just so laughable. The killer was unbelievable, the cops were TERRIBLE, and the motive just so insane.
Sandra brown has much better books. I’d suggest to skip This one.
