Eternity Is Now in Session: A Radical Rediscovery of What Jesus Really Taught about Salvation, Eternity, and Getting to the Good Place by John Ortberg
I read this twice and I still can’t think of any part of it that made a big impact. I didn’t disagree with any of it, but I think other recent books have given me more to chew on and learn. Maybe I just wasn’t in the right headspace.
Knife: Meditations After an Attempted Murder by Salman Rushdie
This book reminded me that we can choose how we respond, even to brutal, shocking, life-altering events.
Remember: The Science of Memory and the Art of Forgetting by Lisa Genova
The things we pay attention to, we remember.
Normal People by Sally Rooney
I think I was expecting to be floored, based on the hype. It was nicely written. She does capture the feeling of being truly known, and the horrible discomfort of miscommunication and misunderstandings.
