I enjoyed the two storylines more than I thought I would. I wasn't thrilled about the concept of bouncing back and forth between the two but it worked out better than I imagined it would. There were parts that were super repetitive, which I didn't love. But still a nice, quick read.

I was fully sucked into this story right from the start. What a flurry of emotions this brought on! Definitely one of my top romance reads.

TJR always writes the kind of books that I get sucked into and finish quickly. This is another good one but not my favorite of hers. I found some things repetitive within the book and felt like more could have been done to take it to another level. But still a great light read!

The first one third of the book were a little hard for me to get through. The pace was pretty slow and I would be confused in parts trying to figure out this world. It would have flashes of really strong moments throughout though that kept me intrigued and pushed me to keep going. I'm so glad I did! By midway I was fully invested in all the characters and found myself thinking of the story during my down time wanting to get back to the story. The way the different story lines interwove between each other was masterfully done. This is a book I feel would be a great re-read once you have the full picture.

I resonated with a lot in this book so it made me a bit emotional during certain stretches. Because I connected with it I landed solidly on 4 but there were moments where it was closer to a 3 for me. The pacing threw me off at times. We rushed through certain things that I wish we got to sit in for a bit longer. And sat in certain stretches rhat I felt we could get through a bit faster. But overall a good quick read!

This one dragged for me a little bit towards the end but I still truly love Nina LaCour's writing. The way she perfectly captures her characters emotions and frame of minds just sucks me in every time.

So beautifully written. I can solidly say now that I'm a Nina Lacour fan. Her writing just draws me in every time and I am so invested in her flawed but captivating characters. This book was so different, not at all what I expected from a ghost story but in such a great way.

I enjoyed the story. It took me a bit to get into it because I'm still getting used to audio books but once I got sucked in I became attached to the characters and was very invested in how the story would develop. I still had my mind wander a bit during certain sections but overall really enjoyed the story.
