This is the first book in what will likely be each brothers book. So at least four in the series.  This was Brock's.
Alaska in the winter,  disappearing people,  unexplained death and an FBI agent there to unravel the truth.

But now she's coming back with a successful podcast to focus on.  Too bad her past is eaiting to swallow her in the memories and uncover some truths And she has a bone to pick with that old heartbreak anyway.

Beckett Whitfield has harbored secrets.  He still hasn't forgotten Everly and his attempts to exercise her from his thoughts have failed.  Now he'll take whatever steps he can to undo the harsh words said when they were teens and the even bigger hurts he tried to protect her from.  Sometimes all you need is a little push to find your second chance.

A little bit of a mix.  You get the main characters story and the side story to build in the next book.  It's odd the story is about Jax and Claire, but the book title is for Juniper, whose the main character in the next book.

It's a sweet small town romance.  Second chances and new beginnings.

Wicked Fortune
By J.Kenner
Book five in Wicked Nights series.

I really wanted to like this book.  I've enjoyed the books in the Stark series,  but frankly this one fell flat. I'm not sure if it's just there wasn't enough characte  development of the mains,  or if the loss of her friend wasn't hooked well. The obviousness of the "cat" was painful.  And don't get me started on the complete ick factor and stalker tendencies that are portrayed.  Ugh! But if you can get past all of that and you like the series,  it has enough to keep you entertained in a eerily predictable manner.

Premise: Young woman with long term issues committing to stable job lands a what I imagine is a highly sought after position for a Hollywood mogul with a shady past.  She's there under false pretenses, and she's insanely attracted to the older man and her new boss.

Things I'm still questioning,  why the Masque visit? What happened to her when she was younger, it's not explained.

What if you met the one,  your soul mate and circumstances were destined to keep your apart? Jump into the murky waters and let's navigate.

Chloe is a sheltered musical prodigy. She has big dreams. A chance meeting and one super hot kiss are about to change her entire life.

Sig has hockey,  that's his focus,  until fate steps in and hands him Chloe. Now making sure she's safe,  looked after and has whatever needs met becomes his driving force.  Does he go overboard at times? YES! Is the attraction apparent, also yes.

Sometimes the hard thing happens,  the choices you think my stop your heart come to pass.  It's what happens next that makes the story worthwhile.

Enjoy the roller coaster,  you're going to laugh for sure and be annoyed and hopefully surprised.

Love this spin off so much.  And it brings a new level to the world that was created with the Rock Chicks.

If you've made it this far past the 2 star review, I suppose you want to know why.

I almost did not finish this book,  but I'm not a quitter. Okay,  my issues with this book.  There were a few things that drew you out of the story,  misquoting Quantico for Langley and some really odd word choices for the steamy scenes.

The overall plot is that the influencer is in danger, hires a security firm, and the new guy is insta attracted to the client <obs>.  Then, 2.5 seconds later, they're in the throws of sexy time. Then in love.  Throw in a car chase and some questionable decisions,  the end.

Maybe this will be your cup of tea. Maybe you need to read the original series to fully appreciate the spin-off.  But I think I'll avoid it.

Just One More Temptation
By Carly Phillips
This is part of the Sterling Family series.

Fallon Sterling may be young,  but she's focused on her goals,  learning how to run a gallery and her painting.  That is until twin hurricanes enter her life,  with their gorgeous father not far behind.  She's drawn to him,  but she's been burned by an older man before, and she's hesitant to take the next step.

Noah Powers is at the end of his rope,  with his twins' mother or of town for months he's drowning without stable childcare.  Mostly due to precocious girls not warming up to any of the nannies.  But when they wander off, it might have been the best result from the terrifying existing experience.  Fallon is like a ray of sunshine, and Noah just wants to soak her up,  one kiss at a time.
