Probably my least favorite in the set so far. Usually I don’t think this authors books are good but I have a good time anyway. If it weren’t for my commitment to this universe I would have DNF’ed.

I enjoyed this book but I wouldn’t think it’s for everyone. Upon a second reading I looked at it through the lens of everything is a metaphor and the satirical pretentiousness really came through. I enjoyed it much more when I understood it as a critique on academia than a girl with a mental illness. It’s definitely one of those pieces of art that lets you decide what you want it to be.
