In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

This book pulled me in right from the start. I couldn’t put it down and read it in 5 hours. I liked the premise and it kept me wanting to find out what happens. There were a couple of unexpected twists (and a couple of expected ones). I definitely recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book. It sucked me in right away. It dealt with serious issues that are relatable in many ways.
Without giving anything away, one thing that caught my attention was how the feelings and perceptions of the characters diverged. In life, we often think things are one way when in reality, our perception is skewed based on who we are and our life experiences.

This book started very slow for me. I found the writing style hard to follow and disjointed. To me, it felt like one person wrote the first 100ish pages and someone else finished the book. I ended up loving it. The odd disconnected beginning almost made me stop reading. I’m glad I went back to it.

I have enjoyed the entire Eddie Flynn series. I could not put this book down. It grabbed me from page 1, much like all of his books. I highly recommend Steve Cavanagh.
