I enjoyed this story. It was spicy and a fun listen. I enjoyed the narrators.
I feel it could have used a little more plot development in a few spots but nothing that completely ruined the story I was able to keep listening and enjoying. Lots of laughs.

This is book two in the love at all cost series. It follows Ben and Layla.

Brothers best friend
Firefighter x Nurse
Marriage pact

Dual Narration

This story is about Cass a nurse and Travis a firefighter and Cass’s brothers best friend. They are flirty and both like the other but are too scared to tell each other. Travis is also worried about upsetting his best friend.

After one “platonic” *wink wink* night together they make a 10 yr marriage pact… but by the time Travis is ready to propose and claim her for that pact, Cass is dating someone who proposes to her. Now can Travis convince Cass that he is who she wants and who she belongs with?

I enjoyed this book. The narration was done well. It was a quick cute listen.

Aleks and Mia’s story was so good!

Aleks is a pro hockey player who is known for being a playboy, a bad boy. His career might be in trouble due to this reputation.

Mia is a pop star with a new album coming out soon and a controlling gaslighting ex.

When Mia gets a bad review her publicist comes up with a fake dating plan to boost her up and also help Aleks.
Mia and Aleks grew up as teenagers together when he came to live with her family from another country. They both have crush’s but never tell the other.

When they finally give in it is 🥵!
A fabulous hockey romance that I couldn’t get enough of! There is a preview of the next book at the end and OMG I can’t wait!

Book #4 love and hockey series
(Interconnected standalones)

Duet narration- Samantha Brentwood & Jason Clarke
Narration done so well. Samantha and Jason are amazing together. Giving beautiful life to the characters. You can truly feel the emotions.

Miles is a hot hockey player for the Seahawks. He’s single and has been for a while. His family hinting about dating. He is patient and kind, protective and attentive. Oh so hot.

Leighton is a photographer and the Seahawks coaches daughter. She is trying to make her way on her own without assistance.

Their meet cute happens at Miles grandmas coffee shop. He’s helping his grandma with some things and runs into Leighton. Missed connection turns into him helping her with a photo shoot.

I absolutely love this series, and this book is a fabulous additional to the series.
If Lauren Blakely writes it I will read/listen to it. This is lighthearted and fun with spice. I already can’t wait for the next book.

Beautiful and sad. Evie and Maddox story is heartbreakingly beautiful and healing. I did not expect it to be so deep.

These two characters have heavy chemistry. I loved it.
If you want a story with a kick ass FMC then Evie is your girl. Maddox has been through a lot causing him to put walls up and he doesn’t let anyone get close. Until Evie appears.
This story with wreck you and put you back together again.

Second chance
Brothers best friend
Small town

Dual narration- Teddy Hamilton & Carly Robins
Very well done. I love the life and emotion these narrators brought to the story.

Melody is back in her hometown to get over a rough break up with her boyfriend of 6 years. Her brother and friend convince her to go on a camping trip but at the last minute her brother can’t make it. Forcing her to share a tent with the one person she does not want to run into. Zack the boy who broke her heart 10 years ago.

Zack is Melody’s brothers best friend, and her high school crush. He is a grumpy football coach and has been pining for Melody for years.

One camping weekend turns into forced proximity and being stranded together. This was a great play on second chance. I enjoyed this story. Mel’s ex is a douchebag!!

***ALC Review***
Dual Narration-
Harvey Fuller, Lila Winters and Emily Woo Zeller
The plot was decent. The narration was ok… I couldn’t help but feel like the male narrator was slightly “robotic”

Definitely spicy.

Sage is an event planner who is looking to get promoted. She doesn’t do relationships. When she catches her current situationship with another girl she tells him to get gone by morning while she heads to the bar.

Tyler (Edmond) is the younger hot bartender who’s crushing on Sage. He has secrets but decides to risk is and help Sage show her now ex situationship what he lost.

This turns into a story about a prince in hiding/arranged marriage. He is definitely obsessed with her. It was spicy and the spice was good. I felt the plot was lacking a bit and kind of repetitive. Overall a decent book for a quick listen.

Teacher x students dad

Mia is a strong, smart, witty British teacher her. She works with and under her best friend. Mia will do anything for Lilly, and wants to help her keep her position.

Theo is a grumpy single dad to Kira one of Mia’s students. He is surprised at how he feels when he is around Mia. He tries to keep his distance.

However the universe has other plans. Somehow they keep getting forced together. The banter was really good and the spice was pleasantly surprising.

Overall a very fun and spicy read. Enjoyed it.
