I thought I guessed the twist pretty early on but I ended up being wrong on multiple accounts which kept me guessing. Not my favorite of the series but honestly Freida McFadden can do no wrong.

This whole story was a constant twist but also predictable at times. I don’t really know how to describe it but it was everything I needed (even though there were definitely moments when I was internally yelling at Millie).

I loved the first book but I think I loved this one even more! I love the short chapters and how fast paced these books are. Freida’s writing is perfection. Couldn’t put it down and would definitely recommend. Starting book 3 immediately!

Such a perfect comfy, cozy story! The writing was great. The characters were amazing. I read this so fast I almost want to reread it immediately. If you’re looking for a feel good, wholesome, found family story, this is the one!

This was very predictable and like many other books I have read but I enjoyed it just the same. It was slow at parts and Natalie frustrated me at times but it was a quick, light read, which is just what I needed.

I decided to listen to this as an audiobook and I’m honestly glad I did. It was a sweet story and I love the relationship Elsa had with Granny. Everyone should get to experience that kind of relationship. However, as a story told through the mind of an almost 8 year old, it was a little bit hard for me to follow. I would recommend this one though!

I didn’t know when I picked this up that it would loosely resemble the JonBenet Ramsey case but, as a true crime fan, I started picking up on the similarities pretty early on.

I started with the physical copy but actually ended up listening to most of it on audio.

There were a few things that I questioned but overall it kept my attention.

Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing by Matthew Perry

Listening to the audiobook and actually hearing Matthew Perry talk about his life and struggles was truly heartbreaking. Listening to him talk about his hopes for the future was especially hard considering he passed away just about a year after this memoir was published. This was an emotional one but definitely worth a listen. An easy 5⭐️ read for me.

This was my first Kiersten Modglin book and it actually got me out of a huge reading slump. I loved that it was centered around a group of book influencers meeting up in real life. Who doesn’t want that, right? The thriller lover in me enjoyed the twists and turns this book took but, at the same time, I felt that it was a little cringey at parts and the ending was not very believable. At just over 200 pages, this was such a quick and easy read and perfect for a rainy or stormy night!

This book had been on my tbr for quite a while. I tried reading it a couple times and couldn’t really get into it (mood reader problems 🙄) so I decided to try the audiobook and finally finished it.
I’m having a hard time getting my thoughts together here. The concept was interesting and like nothing I have read before, which is what made me pick it up to begin with. It is very action-packed and plot-heavy which was overwhelming at times and I just found myself not really caring about the characters. I did feel like it was drawn out and definitely could have been a lot shorter.
Overall, it wasn’t my favorite thing but I enjoyed it enough. I think it just wasn’t for me.

This took me longer to read than I wanted it to but I think I was just trying to savor it and now I’m sad that it’s over. I read The Love Hypothesis last year and enjoyed it and I loved this one just as much. Elsie and Jack are most definitely my new favorite book couple. As a big people pleaser myself, I related to Elsie so much and could definitely see us hanging out and eating cheese together. Jack was just so perfect in getting Elsie to open up and show the real her and I really like how he encouraged her to be honest about what she was thinking, along with her likes and dislikes, and also how he very respectfully called her out on her BS. Was it cheesy? Yes. Do I like cheesy? Also yes. Overall, a light, easy read. On a side note, I feel like everyone needs a Millicent in their lives.
