I was 67% of the way through the book before I felt like things really popped off.

Yea, I understand that war isn’t just battle but it’s strategy and negotiations and travel and power struggles but hear me out…

I don’t wanna read about all of that.

The author was in his bag with this one.

I love a protagonist that’s willing to get their hands dirty. Willing to go low. Somebody who is going to do whatever it takes to keep and protect what’s theirs.

The Trudeau twins give us that and more.

I’m salivating for book two.

Every new look into the Baileys’ lives makes me fall more in love with them.

I’m Bourbon Summer, we finally get to see Tenor fall in love. Our gentle giant is so relatable with his hobbies and his caring nature. We all knew he was hiding a dirty side and, boy, oh boy, does Ruby bring it out of him.

The two are the most reserved people in all of Bourbon Canyon, so it makes sense that fate had to give them a little push. I loved how they found strength in each other and in their bond.

Can’t wait for Teller’s book to come out! He and Madison are gonna be a gasoline-fueled fire!

I didn’t really know what to expect when I dove into Alisha’s AirBnB for Shy, Sensitive Black Men and I can say that it surprised me in the best ways.

Black men aren’t always raised to be open and vulnerable with their feelings. Especially Black men like Tariq and his friends, Adante and Kendis. These men have known each other since middle school and bonded over the lack of strong male leadership in their homes. Even with their history, Tariq expects to be made fun of for the major life change he’s decided to undergo. It’s only when his friends offer him sympathy and support that he knows that they really are his safe space.

It’s his boy Adante that tells him about Kisha, a healer who runs a small bed and breakfast in their home state of Georgia.

Tariq takes a leap of faith and books a stay at Kisha’s B&B where he learns how to connect emotionally and how to communicate your wants to others.

It’s a journey of self-love and exploration. 4.5⭐️

A documentary about Chicago’s public housing and the multiple failed efforts to make it safe for its vulnerable residents.

I found it to be very moving and informative. Asks a lot of hard questions and, sadly, doesn’t have any of the answers.

Quiver is the perfect blend of sweet and spicy.

Azrael is a cherub who’s never quite fit in. Beau is a small-town teacher who’s willing to help everyone he meets. And despite the length of this novella, we actually get to see their relationship grow and develop.

The pacing is great and the story lets us see what little things Az and Beau do for each other that help them fall in love more and more each day. The spicy scenes are habanero hot and are spaced enough that they don’t seem rushed or redundant.

I’m a forever fan
