Angela Y Davis is inspiring and her story, and edition introductions, continue this. If anybody ever doubts the importance or impact of a grassroots movement or an individual, read her autobiography. She reminds us we are all important in the fight for justice.

This was a wonderfully reflective book, with a lot of feedback and insight, as well as information of the author’s personal journey. It read mostly like a scholarly article, very well-educated, and I often had to look up definitions or re-read sections to grasp meanings.

I enjoyed this collection. I especially enjoyed the diversity of writers, as they were from all over the world and the writing styles varied quite a bit. It was a wonderful read.
