This small town, second chance rom-com very much gave Hallmark romance vibes. I always appreciate an enemies to lovers trope, especially when rekindling a preexisting love ❤️

The MCs had a very organic reconnection, with realistic run-ins and reasons to be spending time together. Oftentimes with this type of plotline, the situations and “coincidences” feel very forced, so I applaud this author for not falling into that trap and building a natural feeling timeline and couple to root for.

This was a cute workplace romance that I stumbled upon during a Stuff Your Kindle promotion, and may just have to add the rest of the Loveless Brothers series to my TBR!

This enemies to lovers story features a childhood rivalry reignited after the MCs run into each other as adults and end up having to work together. Though the competition runs strong between them, their hatred eventually melts into somewhat of a friendship that they seek benefits from 😉. From there they are forced to navigate external conflict and sort out what they really want out of the relationship.

This novella actually surprised me; I thought it was going to be a quick cozy read, but ended up being much more emotional than I had anticipated. It was very interesting in that it focused on the three main POVs in the throuple, but also featured a secondary “love story” with the poly parental unit of one MMCs.

This was my very first omegaverse read, as I don't usually find myself attracted to any fantasy elements in romance. For an outside genre audience I felt it was a little cringey at times, scenting one another and referencing their inner omega/alpha's constantly, but overall a very mild complaint.

The story itself was cute, a shy newcomer to town falls for a “pack” of friends in a reverse harem relationship. Most of the conflict points were the FMC's insecurities rather than big plot climaxes, which made for a cozy low stakes read.

I adored this cute, cozy and spicy Christmas read! It was just long enough for a novella to fully develop the characters, but not too long for a holiday read that it got stale or unbelievable with the allotted timeline. I LOVED how inclusive it was to body types, relationship dynamics, and type of spicy scenes 🔥

This book was a thrilling and spicy read, and I enjoyed it just fine, but there were just too many hurdles in the way of bringing it into the “loved it” category.

I honestly didn’t feel a connection to, or likeability for any of the characters. I expected more of a darkness within the relationship itself with how unhinged the MMC was, rather than him obsessively stalking and deciding if he ultimately wanted to kill his subject or not. It also didn't feel “realistic” that the FMC would so easily agree to her blackmail punishment, being a sex slave, to her boss who she was only working for in order to get evidence of him mistreating a former employee. Overall it just fell a little flat for me.

This was such a great final bow for the Never After series! It was a great deal lengthier than its predecessors, and a MUCH slower burn, but I flew through it just as well.

Hexed is a  loose reimagination of The Little Mermaid, and though the title might lead you to believe there were supernatural elements, the story was based in the “real world”, with mafia involvement of course. Venesa and Enzo had great chemistry and had a very organic relationship. I did see a lot of the plot points coming, as it was very true to McIntire’s writing style. This is not to say this made for a disappointing read, I just knew what kind of betrayals and twists to expect.

This series was a cute collection of short spicy romance stories ❤️ Each one took about an hour to read, and had good characters and plot for the timing allowed.
