โฐโโคThis is how you end a story. Omg, I was just as anxious as everyone else in the book the entire time. Tella & Legend, love them, love them so much. Scarlet & Julian, they are the definition of fated. Jacks, omg I still adore him even while he was the "villain" in this book, he still deserves the entire world. I don't fault Tella for what she did to him though either, he kind of brought it on himself but I still adore him. The story was a masterpiece, so many twists and turns, just when I thought I figured something out, BOOM, no you didn't. ๐ This story will live rent free in my head for the rest of my life and I am totally okay with that.

โฐโโคI was hooked on this book from page 1, it was THAT good. The world building was easy to catch on to, the lore was also easy to understand and follow. The story was well paced and the timeline made sense. The magic system sounds intriguing, we didn't get to see much in action as this is book 1, but I am hopeful that we get to witness more of the fury in the rest of the series. The characters left nothing to be desired. I loved Legion, Tor, and Halvar so much, they all compliment each other in their little merry band of friends. Elise is a strong willed woman who can definitely take care of herself but does not mind if a man has to come in and save the day. And I love that for her. Legion and Elise together? I cannot wait for more of these scenes because I love them so much as they compliment each other in the absolute best ways even with her trust issues and his umm, issues, yeah. ๐. Normally I skip around books, but I need to start the next book immediately so I ordered it last night after I finished this book lol. This book is everything and I cannot wait to see where the rest of the series goes.

โฐโโคI was hooked on this book from page 1, it was THAT good. The world building was easy to catch on to, the lore was also easy to understand and follow. The story was well paced and the timeline made sense. The magic system sounds intriguing, we didn't get to see much in action as this is book 1, but I am hopeful that we get to witness more of the fury in the rest of the series. The characters left nothing to be desired. I loved Legion, Tor, and Halvar so much, they all compliment each other in their little merry band of friends. Elise is a strong willed woman who can definitely take care of herself but does not mind if a man has to come in and save the day. And I love that for her. Legion and Elise together? I cannot wait for more of these scenes because I love them so much as they compliment each other in the absolute best ways even with her trust issues and his umm, issues, yeah. ๐. Normally I skip around books, but I need to start the next book immediately so I ordered it last night after I finished this book lol. This book is everything and I cannot wait to see where the rest of the series goes.

The only reason this wasn't 5 stars for me was because that plot twist was expected and the other big reveal was underwhelming. The whole story we know she is keeping something from West and then she reveals it and I was just like, that's it? ๐ But it was still so good. I absolutely LOVE Devney's writing style and this book had me hooked from page one and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

โฐโโคThis story got even better since the first book. I loved Tella's pov as she is more optimistic and open to change, she is a glass half full type of gal and I adore her. Dante grew on me, that man is barkable, I will say. But JACKS, my true fictional love, ugh how I adore him. I did read the whole OUABH trilogy first though so maybe that's why I am biased and that man can do no wrong in my eyes, idc, he is perfect. You could tell me he ran over a squirrel and I would blame the car. Leave him alone. ๐ The plot was insane, as to be expected, lots of twists and turns and mystery and I loved every single second of it. This book is a masterpiece and nobody will be able to change my mind on that.

While the book was still well written and closed all plot holes, it was slow, extremely slow at certain points. I almost DNFed 6 times, but this is one of those stories where I needed to know the ending so I pushed through. And I still love the characters. Jack is so sweet and a warrior with music and his words. Adaira is the strongest of them all with all the secrets she has had to endure. Torin and Sidra, ugh I love them with all of my heart. But, this book lacked the world building from book 1, the pacing was slow as I said, and then during some important parts the pacing was too fast. So for me, this book wasn't a mind blowing experience. But overall I would recommend this duology still, as a whole it is a beautiful story with complex characters and is worth the read.

O M G, this series is EVERYTHING, I read one book at a time on Kindle Unlimited and every single book got 5 stars and I have ordered the series as a whole off of Amazon now because this will be a re-read and I must annotate. Lana is such a complex person with so many layers and I adore her with my entire heart. Logan is the same way, and the way he accepted her after finding everything out and even did what he did to earn her forgiveness? omg, I was SCREAMING for their HEA. I hate what happened to Lana to lead up to all of this though, but I love watching her get her revenge on the entire town, they all deserved it and Lana deserved peace. O M G, this series is EVERYTHING, I read one book at a time on Kindle Unlimited and every single book got 5 stars and I have ordered the series as a whole off of Amazon now because this will be a re-read and I must annotate. Lana is such a complex person with so many layers and I adore her with my entire heart. Logan is the same way, and the way he accepted her after finding everything out and even did what he did to earn her forgiveness? omg, I was SCREAMING for their HEA. I hate what happened to Lana to lead up to all of this though, but I love watching her get her revenge on the entire town, they all deserved it and Lana deserved peace. This will be on my yearly re-read list because it was THAT good. It is a dark thriller, filled with mystery, and sprinkled with a tad bit of spice. โค๏ธ

I love Auren so much, she is so much more than she believes herself to be and I love watching her growth slowly. And Midas? he can fuck right the fuck off. He disgusts me and reminds me of quite a few men I have had the displeasure of knowing. ๐คข
