The main chapters were the perfect ending for this final volume. I did skim the final volumes a bit because the mini mangas did not interest me and a lot of Aya’s final chapters were just flashbacks and familiar. But overall, I loved it and I absolutely cried at the end.

This manga series is so much more than just a silly little romance. It is also about finding your inner voice and the strength to grow and be better and continue to get stronger.

I love every single character, Aya is my least favorite still, but he did grow on me a bit near the final volumes.

There is still the silly little romance, of course. lol. It is a sports (basketball), high school romance, and the romance aspect was adorable for the most part. We do have a love triangle for most of the series which does start to get repetitive and a tad bit annoying. But you have to keep in mind that these are kids lol and Mitsuki had no clue how to navigate her first love life, but she does eventually figure it out and makes her choice. And it was a choice she knew she would make all along.

Overall, I love the series and I will def come back to it if I ever need a feel good series in between my deeper reads.

Crying, sobbing, giggling, screaming, all valid emotions I went through while reading this book. This is a VERY spicy polyamorous/RH romance and I was hooked on every single word. And to me, it was so much more than just a romance.

The main character, Jessica (loved the name 🀭), is a beauty pageant queen, cheerleader, and the popular girl at school when everything begins. However, you can tell almost immediately that she does not belong and needs to find her own path through the toxicity and manipulations of her family and friends.

The β€œlosers” are extremely complex, and all 4 have well developed back stories and personalities that go with the β€œloser” persona. Their story with Jessica begins in high school, but then we get a time jump to present day, where the story continues and heats up and gets even deeper.

I am obsessed with the love they all have for each other. We get scenes with all of them but then they all have their own time with Jessica and with each other. This is a poly story, so it does not revolve around Jessica, the men also deeply love each other and it is everything and makes the story even better.

And the ending???? Ahhhhhh, I def need to pick up book 2 asap and The Dare, everybody recommends reading that book first and I did not. 😭 don’t be like me, lol.

Oh and the narrators? *chefs kiss*, it is a dual narration and the way that both narrators were able to create 5 different voices during their chapters for each characters was extremely impressive, 10/10. πŸ‘

So anyways, if you love poly romances with characters who all have deep back stories, and with a lot of very well written & non repetitive spice, pick this one up. But pick the Dare up first! πŸ’•

Cute asf, no other words. I’ll leave a full review about the full series after I finish the final manga in a few days.

Looking for a book with Spirited Away vibes that is absolutely mesmerizing? Look no further besties, get this book.

This book is an absolute standout for me for the entire year. It was a fantastical tale about love, loss, the past, the present, and the future. The main character of the story, Hana, is a stubborn and headstrong woman who has to go against everything she has ever been told when her father goes missing. But in her world? Not everything is always as it seems.

And then we have the male main character, an equally stubborn, yet intelligent man named Kei, who wanders in to Hana’s pawnshop just as she awakens to find her father missing. He agrees to join her and help her find her father and together they go on a magical quest to find answers.

The writing is lyrical and masterful, the world building is immersive and beautiful, the characters are so well developed and complex that you feel for them and are rooting for them the entire journey.

The ending? Stop, full stop, I didn’t know what to think and had to take a breather before even finishing the book. This book captured my attention and my whole heart throughout every turn. There was never a dull moment for me, I even loved their downtime conversations and the flashback scenes.

In summary, this book was even more than what I expected. I am a huge Studio Ghibli fan, so I already knew I would like it, but no, I absolutely adore it. πŸ’•

πŸͺ Spirited Away vibes
πŸͺ time jumps
πŸͺ 3rd person pov
πŸͺ multi person pov
πŸͺ magical setting
πŸͺ romance subplot
πŸͺ slow burn

So far, a very interesting concept. It is giving major Tokyo Ghoul vibes but with vampires and I love that as Tokyo Ghoul is one of my faves.

I have a few minor issues so far, but nothing worth actually discussing at the moment as this is only the first volume. I will definitely be continuing this series and developing my thoughts more as it goes on.

This book was seriously so much fun and the audio is amazing. The narrators were perfect and captured the full essence of both main characters.

Do not take this book seriously and read it for the vibes and it is immaculate, especially if you’re in a reading slump. I thoroughly enjoyed it and now want a big blue alien too! It’s not fair. πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

I will definitely be continuing this series for fun when I need a lighter read. ❀️

Finally!
Screaming from the rooftops!
Sobbing happy tears!
Clapping and jumping up and down!

Omg I love this volume, so much. Aya even got redemption with me and I can respect his character. I still don’t particularly like him, but I get him lol.

Mitsuki and Towa, you adorable little guys omg I love them so much.

Ryuji 😭😭😭 he better get what he wants or I will RIOT.

Okay, on to the next volume. ❀️

3.5 ⭐️ - So um, I really liked this book. Mainly because I picked it as a vibe read and that is what I am rating it on.

Because substance? It lacked. Prisca was a very boring character to me whose storyline was predictable and quick and she was pretty much handed everything the entire book. Where was her struggle? 😭

Lorien was cool and dreamy and def book boyfriend material.

The world building was non existent but for a vibe read, that’s okay and I dealt with it. Luckily I am an imaginative person anyway and always picture scenes differently than they’re described anyway.

The romance was good, it did feel off to me at times though because it is marketed as enemies to lovers but I never got the enemies vibes since they were always lusting for one another in their monologues. And then they would β€œhate” each other but hen shove their tongues down their throats right after and then hate each other again. Idk but I may find people I hate attractive, but I definitely wouldn’t kiss them, so it felt off for me.

And the ending and everything in between was highly predictable. But that is to be expected anymore as most romantasys have similar revelations now and there is nothing wrong with that and I did not lower my rating for that fact. Just stating my opinion.

So yeah, I did still like it and I was entertained, and at the end of the day that is what it is there for, to entertain. So I will be continuing the series.

Please keep in mind these are just my OPINIONS, not fact, and I love that so many people loved this book, it is well written, it just was not revolutionary for me.

3.5 ⭐️

Her choosing to go with Aya instead of sticking with Towa infuriated me, especially then seeing the scene with Towa back inside the restaurant. And then what AYA had to force out of her because she still couldn’t admit her feelings? I do understand she just didn’t want to hurt anyone and this is her first real chance at strong feelings for anybody. But damn, she ended up hurting people more by waiting. It’s just aggravating. I still love her character and her growth, but I hate the back and forth. The ending did make me smile though and now I have very hopes for vol 12.

How many times did you cry while reading this book? yes ...

β•°β”ˆβž€This is the conclusion to Johnny and Shannon's story. There is even more drama in this book than the first. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to ruin it for anybody who may see this and has not yet read the first. But it picks up right where the first book left off and this book follows the aftermath with the Lynch children.

β•°β”ˆβž€This book was EVERYTHING. When I tell you I lost count of how many times I cried, I am serious, it is not an exaggeration. This book destroyed my catastrophically. I had to continuously take breaks for my own mental health. It is just such a real, emotional, thought provoking story, it had that power over me while reading it. Shannon, omg I adore her, that sweet and strong girl who overcame so much that she should have never had to handle. Getting to know the 3 other brothers better this story also made me feel connected to those little beans so it made it worse for my emotional well being lol. And Joey and his martyr complex and having to take care of everybody in his mind because of what his parents had done, I hope he gets the best ending of them all, he deserves rest. Overall, this is the most beautiful story I have ever read, and it will stick with me for probably the rest of my life, it was that intense and made that much of an impact on me. I am both excited and terrified to move on to Saving 6, but I need Joey's story so continue on I will.

Reread for the first time May 2025 to annotate. Still one of my favorite series, still infinity stars.
