I listened to the audiobook of this and it was a lovely experience. I wasn't sure what to expect going in but Miranda talks of her experience with a long, chronic illness that went diagnosed for many years and the impact this had across all areas of life. It was funny and relatable (for me at least!) with some great reminders of how important it is to look after our mental health alongside the physical, and how much distress can impact you physically.

There were parts I didn't love and I took a few breaks from listening as parts became a little repetitive, but I would still recommend the audiobook and am going to look into a few of the books and podcasts mentioned!

This book really is the perfect collection for cosy, winter evenings! Short stories are so wonderful when you need something to dip in and out of or want to read a story in a single sitting.

Some of my favourites from this collection were Host by Kiran Millwood Hargrave, The Salt Miracles by Natasha Pulley, The Master Of The House by Stuart Turton, and Ada Lark by Jess Kidd
Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh
