Unfortunately, this book wasn’t a second Starless Sea :(
I just did not find the mcs really interesting or appealing - and the romance aspect also did not do it for me. The story felt flat, plotless and not in a way that vibes can make up for. It did not feel in any way like a journey. 
Still liked it for the prose, the magic, the rest of the cast and the lore but not nearly as much as I thought I would !
