Hindi ko na mahanap yung pake ko dahil:
1. apakaraming characters (juskelerd 🙄) with so little exposure and depth as to their role in the story. It felt like everyone has a motive BUT they were all side characters lang pala. Pero yung isang side character, sya pala yung may pinaka valid motive why she/he killed who. yah know what i mean?

2. I am fine with dual timelines BUT the way the "past" (1960's POV) was told through Frances' diary, parang may narrator bigla?! Diba a diary should be a storytelling in the eyes or POV of who owns the diary? kaloka may dialogue beh! bat ganon??

3. It was soooo slow! Too descriptive and repetitive. Nakakaumay. Hindi cozy sa pakiramdam tbh. Also, may mga loopholes na agad dun pa lang sa nakita yung bangkay ni Frances. IYKYK.

Sayang, ang ganda pa naman ng premise ng story but poor execution (imo ✌️). Sabi it's giving the Knives Out vibes daw. I was like, guuurl, mas madali masundan ung storytelling ng Knives Out! Ang gulo netong How to Solve Your Own Murder. Ending, naghanap nalang ako ng spoilers and jumped through the chapters in my kindle just to get the full story at para makatulog na rin ako. Kbye

Saw this spoiler in Goodreads because I am so curious how the story goes and I want to know who really killed Frances. (i can't finish this because it was too boring and dragging)

SPOILER PRESENT: EMT Joe, who is Bill's son, killed Frances. Frances figured out that Rose killed Emily when Annie sent the trunks bc Emily's dry bones (part of the reading she got at the fair) were in the trunk. Joe doesn't want Frances to expose his mom, Rose.

SPOILER PAST: Rose is protective and probably a bit obsessed with Frances. She is mad about the way Emily treats Frances, so she kills her. She stuffs her in a trunk and puts her in the basement of the Chelsea house.
