DNF @ 32%

I am pretty sure Stephen King is not an author for me. As another reviewer on here wrote, “This book, and King’s voice, has a certain mean-spiritedness that I can’t shake.”

I couldn’t really have said it better myself. Plus (& I know i’m in the minority here), this was genuinely boring me.

Enjoyable character study. I think Rory will likely be polarizing, but thankfully I liked her. I liked the relationships and how we got to be with Rory as she grew. 

It was grotesque at times (lol) but I also don’t think it was super horrific. 

Want to read more by this author.

I am so sad this didn’t work for me! I was hoping it would be as thrilling as Jurassic Park, but unfortunately I was pretty bored all throughout until I finally completely lost interest. I do like the setting, but there were multiple times I wanted more action and less education about the middle ages.
