I've come back to change my review and rating. There are 5 books listed in this series however book 4 is 20 years later meaning this is the last book in the original trilogy. And as a final book it was just terrible! There were three main conflicts throughout this series and only one was resolved by the end of this book. There was no real ending when it came to came to either rebel group or improving this dystopian society. It was unbelievably unsatisfying!

Honestly I was about to stop reading this so I looked at goodreads to read some reviews. I kept reading because this book was first published in the 80s and I kept that in mind when I read something weird out dated.

I enjoyed this for the most part. Too much sexy time for my liking.
This was a great novella. If it were a full length novel it would have suffered from all kind of doubts and miscommunication and family drama. But because it was a novella it was fun and easy, sexy and to the point.
I loved the narration on this audiobook, but I don't know which voice belonged to which narrator.

Before anything I feel that it's very important to say that it is never okay to ask a total stranger how they became disabled. Never.
This really seems like a female character written by a man. Honestly I was shocked that Dylan Newton is in fact a woman.
Bryce is always talking about her big boobs, spewing dirty jokes, talks about cars, knows her tools. 🙄 Gives off all the "not like other girls" vibes.
I fxound it pretty icky when the brothers made fun of transitioning.

There was some great chemistry between Foster and Beth right from the get go.
I totally relate to Foster and being uncomfortable talking to people. It's great to be with someone who talks so much like Beth.
When everything I read is either a big secret crush or instant dislike, it's really refreshing to read something where the main characters start out pretty neutral and normal around each other. Let that slow burn start!
It's so sweet when he realizes he's trying to save her instead of leaving it to her to handle her own business. His apology is genuine and he takes her feelings seriously. There are so many romance novels that I complain about where the man takes care of every little things without even consulting the woman about her own life. This was very heartwarming.
Whenever I read hockey romance I always think there's too much hockey in it. This was no exception.
OMG. The characters in a romance actually spoke to each other like adults and communicated their feelings. That alone is worthy of 5 stars.
I don't read sexy time scenes so I can't give a spice rating. I can say it's easy to skip ahead and I don't feel like I missed anything.

I'm sorry, but no. Who doesn't listen to Christmas music while decorating thier Christmas tree?
The epilouge isn't really an epilouge, it's more of a preview of the next book.

Overall I liked it. The kissing scenes were a little drawn out imo.
I was a little disappointed that he didn't build her a wheelchair for her for Christmas. That's really what I thought would happen. Especially when he said that the library ladder was on wheels and could move around the room.
