Though the plot was not particularly unpredictable, I enjoyed this book in great part due to Powell's use of language. Snippets of the prose could read like poetry; alliteration, onomatopoeia, numerous pop-culture allusions and bordering-on-Wodehousian wordplay are sprinkled throughout.
