i haven’t made anything from this book yet so i’ll come back when i try a recipe but i really like it when authors 1) have distinct writing voices and 2) write about more than recipes in their books. anyway i enjoyed it and if the recipes are good i’ll enjoy it more i think. but i like the illustrations and the writing voice a lot it’s cute. also the stinkometer [LOCAL CHEESE FANS CHEERING]

4.25 feels slightly generous let’s say this is like a 4.1 for now. it’s a good strong web novel but i feel like some of the writing can be lecturey and didactic at points. also extremely normal story about a perfectly normal spaceship where nothing goes wrong. one of the most australian works of fiction of all time

strong comeback from mr riordan here but i also did finish this in like an hour+ maybe so idk if it’s all sunk in yet. i think percy’s moral of “we should let people make their own choices even if they’re contextually bad” is rly funny tho
