I didn’t get to read this while at school so I decided to give it a read. I actually enjoyed reading it and it actually is as good as it’s often portrayed to be. Definitely recommend, it’s an easy read classic.

Honestly just wasn’t a fan of this book. I know so many people love it but I honestly just thought it wasn’t up to much. Holden is basically just a petulant child complaining about everything and everyone, spending his days chain smoking and calling everyone a “phony”. Very much a one tone book, nothing changes it’s literally just him wandering around New York feeling sorry for himself and complaining.
