The appeal of this book for me is deeply personal as a Northeast Florida native. I grew up in a similar fashion to DeSantis and also served in the military.
My favorite part of his journey was the details involved in the work it took for DeSantis to win a seat in Congress. Given the temperatures that it can reach outside around here it takes a special kind of energy and focus to grind it out to get the win.
My only criticism of the book was the audio version. He should have narrated the whole thing himself.
I always like when authors do that as they will inflect importance at points in a way only the author can.
Overall it was a great reflection of his life and leadership and should be interesting for anyone who wants to learn more about a man who very well could be a future President.
