Such a wonderful read! The writing is eloquent and makes us think about ways in which to connect with nature’s seasons and the wheel of the year. I really enjoyed the recipes and rituals and learning more about the author’s relationship with magic and the different seasons.
Truly recommend for beginners and advanced practitioners alike or even just for curious minds.

This is cute a wholesome m/m book with some unexpected 🌶 spice.
Gideon and Paul are the definition of the sunshine/grumpy trope and enemy to lovers neighbours 👀
Gideon Holiday adores Christmas and takes it very seriously, trying to get the community into the spirit of it.
Paul Frost lives on his own with his dog Jim. He doesn’t enjoy Christmas and never decorates his house but it all changes when his brother announces that he is coming come for the holidays.
Both Gideon and Paul have their own struggles with loneliness and come together in an unexpected way.
It is a book not only about Christmas and love but also about community, friendship and childhood/teenager years healing ✨
It’s such a funny (with some emotional parts) story and made me smile throughout book. I especially liked the detail of the messages from the community app that show up at the beginning of each chapter.

“I searched in darkness, but every time I thought I found my center, it moved away. Have I always been this scattered?” - Raquel
This graphic novel was such a delight to read! It felt inspiring and nostalgic, especially as it took me back to my own teenage years in a similar setting.
The novel follows Raquel, a sixteen year old who lives is a small town and who is trying to find herself and her sexuality. Raquel meets Pardalita, a senior at her school and an artist and they connect during a theatre play.
It is a beautiful story of discovery of not only sexuality but also of a first love.
Some reviews might say that the writing is something different on this one, however as a portuguese person, Joana’s writing really sounded poetic and reminded me of the love I have for writing. It is a unique style which I absolutely adore.
The illustrations are beautiful and poignant and they remind me of my own hometown, which it might be why I connected so much with the book.
This graphic novel has a mix of art mediums with prose, poetry and illustrations which makes it a delightful reading.
Truly recommend this book as a short and joyful read. And hope we get to know more of Raquel in the future.

When I saw this book I wanted to read it immediately: a toxic friendship with a touch of feminism and set in Edinburgh. What’s not to like?
The book for me was a slow burner for sure but it allowed to understand how Clare always had the need to re-invent herself and it increases how intoxicating it is as you read it. As she meets a new group of friends she tries to find her way to fit in despite the clear differences in lifestyles, and secrets…
The book is well written, I love how to gives the dark and gloomy ambience typical to Edinburgh. The characters are well written and the plot is nice and intense. An excellent debut!
I would definitely recommend checking for trigger warnings before hand as it has some heavy themes such as SA, m*rder and su*cide.
If you like the toxic friendship trope meets thriller I really recommend this book. Although if you don’t like slow paced books you might struggle a bit.
Thanks NetGalley and the author for this eARC.

This book has sent me absolutely speechless. As a thriller fan usually I find that plots can be predictable and end up disappointing me. SO I DID NOT EXCEPT THIS ROLLERCOASTER!!!
Pippa was an incredible character and her development and care for her family and friends really made me love her.
At the beginning of the book I thought I was going to have everything figured out right? I thought I knew what was going to happen… but ohhhhhh was I wrong! The twists and turns really gripped me until the last couple of pages.
The writing of the book was really well done and I really enjoyed not only the plot but the way it was written.
Can’t wait to read the next book in the series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book had me laughing and crying. It is so beautifully written and Malinda Lo once again created something extraordinary.
I adored the characters even with their faults. The raw grief in parts of the book really hit home and the confusion of becoming an adult trying to explore sexuality was very relatable.
Definitely recommend this book but have some tissues at ready ✨

I fell in love with this book!
Honestly the characters are so well written, it absolutely slays! 🥀
I thought I had enough from the enemies to lovers troupe and ohhhh was I wrong!
The rituals, the ambience, the sapphic romance?! Divine! ✨
The descriptions of the surroundings are so well written I felt like I was in Northumberland 🍂
