This is a great book to give to friends who are curious about libertarian thought. Short, clear, simple chapters seem to pull the best possible examples to illustrate each concept.

This is the book that opened my eyes to economic thinking. I knew absolutely nothing of economics before I read this book. Now I'm more passionate about economics than about almost anything else. Very highly recommended.

This book bills itself as an introduction, but I would not recommend it for a beginner. The author attempts to present the basic ideas of Austrian economics in a concise package, but does so by using language and jargon far too complicated for the topics discussed. I've been studying Austrian economics for four years, and there are many books already out there that do a better job of communicating these ideas in a more accessible way.
