Inclined to Liberty: The Futile Attempt to Suppress the Human Spirit by Louis E. Carabini
4.0
This is a great book to give to friends who are curious about libertarian thought. Short, clear, simple chapters seem to pull the best possible examples to illustrate each concept.
What Has Government Done to Our Money? and The Case for a 100 Percent Gold Dollar by Murray N. Rothbard

The second book I ever read in economics. An eye-opener.
Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt

This is the book that opened my eyes to economic thinking. I knew absolutely nothing of economics before I read this book. Now I'm more passionate about economics than about almost anything else. Very highly recommended.
An Introduction to Austrian Economics by Thomas C. Taylor
2.0
This book bills itself as an introduction, but I would not recommend it for a beginner. The author attempts to present the basic ideas of Austrian economics in a concise package, but does so by using language and jargon far too complicated for the topics discussed. I've been studying Austrian economics for four years, and there are many books already out there that do a better job of communicating these ideas in a more accessible way.
