I'm so pissed, this was amazing, and a bit predictable, but I was surprised non the less, I loved Pae and Kai's journey, and I love who they are together, and how they had to fight and overcome pasts mistakes that they were made to do, not because they wanted.
I feel like Lauren's writing improved a lot for this book, and it's a perfect second book for a trilogy, doesn't have to happen a thousand things for this to be good, and filled pretty well for the chaos that's coming.

I wish the ending had surprised me more, but I always had faith in the mastermind Mark, for knowing all along. I fell bad for my baby Tristan he didn't deserve to be in the middle of their games, and he's so pure taking isolde away. My only complaint is that is was to many isolde's povs and I wanted mote Tristan,  but made sense for the story and where it was going, over all, oli love this series and can't wait for the next book and to know more about my man Mark Travena

There's always a part of Emlily's books that are so relatable, the way her characters have human flaws, and are complex and how they grow in the book, it's just something that can touch me so much. I laughed, cried, swooned, to angry in the span of these 384 pages, how I didn't want to put this book down, and made me want to read all of her books again because they mean something to me.
The only hard thing for me is now I can't exactly choose between her books for a favorite.

ARC REVIEW - 4.5 stars

The first time I saw this book title I immediately added it to my TBR, and then I got the opportunity to read this arc. Also, my first book with a rugby player (he was also a lawyer but let's not focus on only that).
This book was interesting, and I was very confused by the laws regarding a separation time for the possibility of applying for a divorce, what do you mean the other person can say no? But that added so much tension and pinning to Ella and Julian's relationship, and how he was so HOT AND RESPECTFUL, him teaching her son Japanese? Listening to her daughter yap about her day at the daycare with such an interest? He was thoughtful and caring and so much in love with her that I swooned and kicked my feet the entire time.
Also, it is very cool to see an age gap where SHE is the older one, and that was so well done by Tanvier, her writing style got me and now I'm very curious to read more of her books.
My only thing is that I feel like the book could have been a bit more fast-paced for my taste, but for sure I'll be looking for her next releases.
