I liked this over all but don't find it perfect. That said its overall an optimistic oddball of a story.

I thought the way the father storyline was interesting. However I feel like the protagonist didn't think enough about the world and 'Marie' even though these themes kept popping up.

I loved this a lot. Its an evolving story regarding the protagonist recreating recipes, puzzling a mystery of her town and having delicious meals all the while. This hit me in the sweet spot.

The Mental Load

Accessible politics in comic form. Its a good way to introduce topics like mental load, vagina stuff, motherhood, police brutality, etc. Its also to see the similarities and differences between how similar topics pan out from my (US) to her French context.

A quick and easy read, that said for my context more in a should I recommend this to others than myself learning. A younger me could have used this though.
