A beautifully written diary style about Moraga's writing, early motherhood/pregnancy, thoughts on familia, weird dreams and so many other topics on her mind.

I recommend this for queer femmes that want a darker exploration of werewolf tropes.

I felt this was an incredibly well written exploration of love, humanity, monstrosity, transformation/fluidity, queerness, exile, found family, family, acceptance, self, etc. A lot is going on here, even though the front facing story is very simple.

I liked this over all but don't find it perfect. That said its overall an optimistic oddball of a story.

I thought the way the father storyline was interesting. However I feel like the protagonist didn't think enough about the world and 'Marie' even though these themes kept popping up.
