I liked this book more at the end than the beginning. I had a tough time keeping track of the various alien nations and how the were allied and opposed.

3rd novel in the Stitch in Time series. This one follows Miranda who goes back in time instead of forwards. Mystery ensues, ghosts revenged. Ended more abruptly than I liked.

Started slow with a lot of background and set up of family histories before the story finally gathered steam and started moving. Follows the lives of two families for a few generations. There's lawyer stuff, crime stuff, murder and prison. All the elements to expect in a good John Grisham novel.

A powerful and brave memoir by actor Elliot Page about his life and journey to identify as gay and then to come out as a trans man.
The memoir is written in a non-linear order, each chapter jumping forward or back in time. It's a bit disorienting, but it seems to work as well.

I had doubts if I was going to like this book for the first half of it and then the twists started. Didn't see the big twist coming.

A unique historical fiction novel From Kate Quinn, following 7 different women who live in the same boarding house. It starts with a murder and then gods back in time do using on each woman and leads back up to the murder.

YA mystery with lots of puzzles, twists and turns. It's a sequel and I read the first book several years ago so it took me a bit to catch back up, but luckily the author planned for that and reminds you of the story in the first few chapters.

2nd book in *the giver" series and it's quite different. Both dystopian YA novels but a different village and characters. The story felt unresolved and incomplete. Left wanting more but not in a compelling way. I enjoyed the first 90% of the book
