I liked this one. It tied together the trilogy to the other prequel. This is the story of the 2nd quarter quell - Hamitch's origin story.

Book 2 on the Silo series goes back in time to tell the story of how the world got to this point - the origin story of the major story lines from book 1. Cleverly told.

On the border of a biography and historical fiction. This well-researched novel follows the life of Hattie McDaniel, the first Black woman to win an academy award. She struggled and persevered over and over again. An incredibly strong woman.

Lots of twists and turns in this fast paced mystery that kept me on my toes. The book is written in the first person and the narrator/author regularly breaks down the 4th wall and speaks directly to the reader explaining things and foreshadowing. Cleverly written.

I found this book very interesting. Lots of information I didn't know and perspectives I hadn't considered. Looking forward to reading other if the author's books to gain more insights.

Distopian apocalyptic - an immediately captivating story that kept me intrigued throughout and a nice cliffhanger at the end. I'm excited to read the next book and am really just hoping they didn't screw up the TV series. It's for promise coming from this book as inspiration.

I love a good twist at the end. This book follows the trope where you know someone is dead right from the beginning of the book, but don't know who. Then it flashes back in time to before the murder telling the story leading up to it.

More of an audio play than a novel. It's all dialog. A cute, quick story.

An examination of the evolution of the bicycle, the sport of cycling, and women. Some interesting facts, stories and perspectives.

There's a lot of opportunity to make cycling more welcoming to people of all genders and ethnicities, at all levels of the sport.

Specific to the audio book, Iwish the narrator had been British. The author is British and sometimes refers to their own history with cycling in England. Hearing the first person perspective of a British author with a American accent is a bit weird.

A sweet love story with some self discovery thrown in for good measure.
