This is a standalone by J. T Geissinger following a woman engulfed in grief after losing her husband and receiving mysterious letter from the state penitentiary from a man she doesn’t know. I went into this book knowing absolutely nothing. I expected a suspenseful and spicy dark romance which I definitely got but the twist blew my mind. I was not expecting the emotions that came with this story. It tugged at my heart strings in every way possible and I absolutely adored it. The tension, angst, and banter between the hero and heroine were perfect. The spicy was spicing 🫢🥵 and the suspense kept my anxiety at an all time high. I read this book in a day.
