This book reminded me of a cross between League of Liars and Doctor Who.

I took me a while to get into this book because the first quarter of the book felt like a really long prologue to me. But soon I couldn't put the book down and can't wait to get my hands on the next one.

This book was amazing. The combination between the real world-experiences I connected to as a Black girl- and magic and the world building was amazing. I would give this book an infinite amount of stars if I could.
