Insurgent by Veronica Roth

4.0

I was going to give this three stars but then the ending happened and well.

Insurgent was a bit slower than Divergent, and in the beginning it annoyed me a bit, but then I realised that the series probably needed that. These books are extremely violent and also quite graphic, and if that kind of writing goes together with violence ALL the time, it would become too much. The five-star-thrill from Divergent is lost, but this series is still amazing.

Also, Tris and Tobias' relationship is incredible. It feels really human, with many smaller fights rather than one enormous fight that changes the whole relationship - that's not how it works.

There are some language mistakes, or rather things I would've written differently, that weren't in Divergent (or at least I didn't notice it) and that's also one of the reasons to why I'm not giving this five stars.

Oh, and Roth starts too feel like JK Rowling in the Deathly Hallows i.e EVERYONE DIES

I'm going to start the last book now and I'm SO scared it won't live up to my expectations (the last book in a dystopian series rarely does). But I have high hopes of this series.
