This book grabbed my attention when I read the blurb that said, “The Haunting of Hill House meets The Only One Left.” The Only One Left is easily my favorite thriller. Let me tell you, that was a perfect way to describe this book. It was a psychological thriller but had the perfect amount of romance. Not going to lie, the romance had me anticipating that all sorts of things might happen and I won’t say whether I was right or wrong

This story warmed my heart. Chloe and Warren- two broken people brought together because of similar family situations. If you are one for forced proximity and roommates to lovers, this book is for you. The main characters had a beautiful relationship but I also loved the relationships that formed with all the side characters. I absolutely loved the deaf community representation in this book. If you’re wanting a book that will make you smile, laugh, kick your feet, and swoon, Next of Kin will not disappoint. @authorhannahby you’ve done it again

Another good Freida book! Audiobook was good and kept me entertained. I can’t say I saw the twist coming in this one. I would recommend this one to others.

4.5 stars rounded up! I just adore Jessica Joyce’s writing. This was the perfect mix of second chance with a bit of forced proximity. I love how the book showed the importance of therapy and how helpful it can be. The friend group in this book had a hilariously cute dynamic that made me laugh out loud. I was rooting for all characters, saying “again!” with all the bad luck, and kicking my feet throughout this entire book. Absolutely darling!

This was the perfect “Christmas in July” read. I’m a big fan of the best friends to lovers trope and this one nailed it. It had the perfect amount of romance, humor, and feel good moments. Luka is the most perfect best friend and beyond perfect for Stella! There were times that I wanted to jump in the book and yell at Stella but I love how Luka never gave up on her. The story telling makes you want to put yourself in this precious little town and you can feel the love and support behind the Luka/Stella romance
