i feel like there’s plot points that were rushed out and swept away (as another reviewer put) like the author cut out stuff so it would be the standard 300 page book and released quick when actually i would’ve liked it if she’d put in much more depth and information. the characters too, were flat as the story progresses.
but it was a decent read, nothing against the author.
reminder to check trigger warnings before reading!

I’ve been in a reading slump for too long and binge read this soo quick. This is for the “insta love” lovers, of which i sometimes partake, slow burn is good and it takes three books for them to admit their feelings for each other but sometimes you just want it straight to the point.
There’s no mess around with the characters trying to deny their feelings and when they’re thinking that the other person is giving them the cold shoulder or whatever THEY TALK TO THEIR FRIENDS AND EACHOTHER, it’s unheard of and well needed.
It’s a good book if you just want a nice, relaxing, chill read, a “read in the bathtub with a glass of wine and candles” type of you will.
