Just like all of CoHo's books, I tend to like them in the moment then forget about them. This is the only book of hers that I would probably reread or recommend to others two years after initially reading. It was a 5 star book in the moment, but didn't stick with me over the years like other 5 star books.

oh my fucking god.. this book is up there with verity and ugly love... SO GOOD I'd say my favorite CoHo book is a tie between this and Ugly Love. The redemption arc is so real and seeing the forgiveness appear in people warmed my heart. I enjoy that theres romance but its not in your face and instead the plot is centered around Kenna getting to meet Diem.

this book was the first book I have ever taken a highlighter out and annotated. I really enjoyed this book and it has stuck with me for at least a week of thinking about it. The part where EH killed Moniques dad SHOCKED ME... i was not expecting that to be the twist. id love to see another book following that twist more

I still think about this book a year and a half later so clearly it deserves its 5 stars.

I almost cried at the end... the twist at the end was so unpredictable in my opinion. It was a very easy read and IDK if I loved it just because I currently read it or if it genuinely is one of my favorites. I like Auburn and Owen a lot more than other CoHo characters, even though I felt that they didn't give Auburn a lot of personality.

Looking back almost two years later, I totally forgot about this book and it wasn't as good as I felt it was after reading initially. I only give 4 and 5 stars to books I can remember later and still think about from time to time... this was an easy solid read but not worthy of 4-5 stars.

HOLY SHIT!!!! that was one of the best books i have ever read. do i love the lack of closure in the ending? fuck no. but it was so good and definitely something that deserves the hype. the second half of them book sold it for me considering i wasn't that impressed in the beginning. the lack of closure ending unsettled me so much that i want there to be a series just so i can get answers. i have never gasped out loud at a book the way i did here

Love love love this book!!! i dont often enjoy paranormal stories, so this lighthearted take is perfect.i personally didnt suspect the twist at the end but loved it so much. i think when leeds realizes the ghost is layla and not sable, it made the book go from good to great. the first collen hoover book that i didnt cry to

looking back i loved this book in the moment but honestly tend to forget about it now

looking back months later, I honestly forget about this book so even though I loved it in the moment, I wouldn't put it as a fav anymore

holy shit i cried so much at the end. i didnt know this book was about domestic violence before reading, so that aspect was a little heavy for me. the concept of giving someone multiple chances just for them to never change was realvent in that time of my life, making this book personal to me. team Atlas forever

Read it in one sitting since it was an easy read during sorority recruitment. it was an okay book, the plot was easy to follow but was very rushed through. the trial of the cop went by way to quick to where you kind of forget it even happened. the characters felt shallow but for a quick read when you have nothing better to do, this actually is a decent book. i wont read any others of the series and didn't feel like i missed out on the story by skipping to the 4th book.

Holy Crap... at first I thought it was just going to be a rip off of Glass Onion: Knives Out since Cole was very very similar to the fitness guy who died in that movie. For the first half of the book, it felt like I was too old to be reading this as a college student but honestly I don't think that anymore. I think the whole high school getting drunk party they had the first night on the island made me feel that way. Once Aaron died, I was so invested that I finished it in one sitting. I actually gasped out loud a few times in the second half. Overall I enjoyed this book even though the beginning was a little slow paced. Its an easy read and got me out of a reading slump. Is it my favorite book of all time? No, but would I recommend it to someone who wants an easy read? For sure. This author is definitely one I want to look more into now!

About the Characters...
I wish we got to learn more about Aaron, Graham, and Corinne. They all felt one sided to me. I hated Cole immediately and was happy he was gone even though it was predictable he'd be dead. The characters did not have much to them, which I made this feel more for a younger audience too. I wish Kiara's "bad thing" was more extreme or talked about more. She seemed to be the saint the whole time and then the ending glosses over her too quickly. Again, I enjoyed the book but probably wont pick it up again or think about too much.

This was a good book. Is it my absolute favorite? No- but I did enjoy it. I wish Shandi was in it more because I loved their friendship and wished we could see more. I also wish we could've seen more of Gus as a boyfriend and working on the relationship instead of just skipping to them being perfectly in love. The proposal was so cute though!! I did like how maturely the affair was talked about, with the mom staying and the letters. I'd give this book a 7.5/10

I think its cool how she ties in Beach Read into this book with mentioning Augustus Everett. It made me laugh how in both books she mentions peeing in the pool. I've read over 100 pages in one sitting and cant seem to put the book down. I am halfway through the book and the push and pull between Poppy and Alex is so awkward that it is giving me secondhand embarrassment. At first I didn't love Poppy and Alex being together but after them in New York, I am obsessed. This is my favorite of Emily Henry's books and I can see myself rereading it again. This feels like a book I need to re-read during different parts of my life- it genuinely moved me.
