Change of Heart by Kate Canterbary

I love anything this author writes, her characters, attention to detail, the build up, is a master class in how to write. How she challenges herself to be different, expand her craft, and stay away from the formulaic box. I will continue to read everything she writes, and many times going in blind. I love all of her worlds and will always recommend her books.

I love Whitney, her whole character, flaws and all. She made me laugh, and want to be her friend, and join with her shenanigans. Henry, he is swoonworthy perfection, my latest book boyfriend, sorry Matthew Walsh.

I recommend anything Kate Canterbary writes, but this might be her best yet. It is also fun to get cameos from our favorites from past series.

I love starting a new series, a new small town, new characters to meet, and the promise of more visits to the small town for a while. Carrington Cove is a place I would want to live, or at least visit for a while.

This book is no different, from when Willow walks into Dallas’s bar I was hooked. This story is a page turner, as one secret is revealed another comes to the surface. I could have easly read it in one sitting, but I needed sleep.

I am excited for the next book, and more from Carrington Cove.

As we return to Kroydon Hills for Brynlee’s story, I think this is Ms. Matthews best to date. We get all the small town yumminess, a bit of angst, secrets, and plenty of steam we expect. The family dynamic brings the humor, as the cousins are up their shenanigans, and the banter.

We know bits and pieces of Brylee’s story, and it is nice to get a deeper understanding of her. Her strength is admirable. Deacon and Brynlee have a history, but they are too young to act. Is now their time? Deacon will make you swoon, btw.

The Kroydon Chronicles is still on top of the town's happenings, and I always look forward to the group text messages. I am looking forward to more from this large and extended family.

This book has so much to love: the writing, the characters, and how quickly I became invested in the story. Both our characters have walls and are a little bent, but it is how they navigate once they meet.

Ranger and Elle are so well written that you feel what they are feeling, and like good friends, you want to just tell them what to do. Will the characters figure out they are right for each other, read the book and find out.

I love this series, and I cannot wait for the next book.

This is the second book in the LA Phantoms series.

Cheyenne is a woman with a plan, work, and then play; no time for a relationship right now. Ivan plays for the Phantoms and also has dreams and goals for his career. But the supermodel and the hockey players have an attraction and seem to make their demanding careers work. But when the distance becomes too much, will either think about making changes?

I love the journey that these two successful people take to be together; he respects and supports her career.

A debut novel from a spectacular storyteller! This book gutted me, spun me up, and wrung me out. I loved Evy and Jay’s story, so far. I was pulled into their world and did not want to leave. The found family and strength of friendship gives so much depth to the story.

My heart took a beating, the ending left me hanging, and yet I can not wait to get my hands on book two!

A page turner, beautifully written, a mystery to solve, and a love story all wrapped up in Ellie Grace’s latest.

A quick read, with my attention never wavering. The twists and turns and who to trust, but throughout the story, Mallory knew she could trust Liam. Will he help her remember?

A stand alone, but I hope that Kelly Elliott writing as Ellie Grace explores this story and these characters further.

We are back in Kodiak country, more Denver Kodiak’s basketball, book one of a trilogy, and you guessed it, a cliff of an ending.

The setup for the story is not anything new, but the story itself is worth the read. Miles and Brooke go back; he is her brother's teammate and the subject of her college crush. She needs a plus one, and he is available, but will fake blend into real? Then there are the secrets….

I am looking forward to the next books, I need answers.

My first time reading this author but not my last. I was attracted to the small town, romantic suspense, and not disappointed. I love her writing and characters. The book had me hooked quickly and was hard to put down. This book is easily a top read for 2024.

There is so much I want to say, but I do not want to give anything away; the banter and sass are on point, the grumpy Grant to Laney sunshine as she thaws his heart. Then there is the Foxx Family Curse!

I adore the small lakeside town of Bluefield.  The characters we meet and story told.  As a debut we have a lot to look forward to from this author, and I plan to read it all!

Lillian needs a change, so summer it is at her family's cottage in Bluefield.  She needs to break through her writers block and find new inspiration.  She meets Jackson, in the rain, and they are attracted.  But something is amiss in Bluefield, and my attention was drawn to the subplot the entire book.

I recommend this book to my small-town, suspense-loving friends.
