Stealing Hearts by Lex Martin
4.0
A new series, the Walker family and they are going to be easy to love. The book reads fast, brothers best friend, touch of suspense, with that small town, cowboy feel.
Paige has always had a crush on her older brother's friend, Rhett. Her honesty has caused a rift, and she has stayed away from him since, or tried. Will their history win?
Both find themselves in need of help, and together they find a solution. There is meddling, twists and turns, mystery and maybe an HEA for Paige and Rhett.

Penn by Jennifer Millikin

An automatic one click author for me, but give me a princess bride inspired tale by that author, and all other books get pushed away as soon as it hits my kindle! Escaping for an afternoon, loving every word written, is pure perfection. Yes, it is a kissing book!
Penn/Peter and Daisy have a delicious slow burn, the tension, the banter, pulled me in. They knew each other in the past, she is now engaged to another. Penn/Peter returns just at the right time to show her that the town’s expectations and her happiness are not the same.
If you have not read a book by Ms. Millikin, start here. She plays with your emotions, throws in a twist, and reveals a secret while giving you relatable characters. This story also gives you spice and a set of quirky side characters. I am looking forward to what we get next.

The Last Dance You Saved by L.J. Evans
5.0
My favorite LJ Evans book to date, from the storytelling to the mystery, I am hooked on this author.
The characters are layered, and as we peel them back, we get tangled in the web, and it gets harder to put the book down. There is miscommunication, danger, suspense, family drama, and twists. Then, there is the slow burn romance between Rafe and Sadie. In addition, I love the role Fallon plays.
Sadie is the third of the Hatley siblings. Her book can stand alone, but this reader recommends the entire series!

Demitri by CM Smith
4.0
We start a new series, a little different from the past two series but still engaging. I like how the past characters make appearances in this new series.
Mia and Demitri give us a small town, mafia lite, romantic suspense, and found family. A protector in Demitri who will do anything to keep Mia safe. There is a friends with benefits situation, that gets pushed along with forced proximity and a mystery to be solved.
A great story, that moves along quickly and hold my attention.

A Runaway in Winter by Alexandra Hale

A quick read novella, the best friends to lovers story of Lake Sterling and Pen Stewart.
Pen is our runway bride, best friend of Lake, and both are figuring out what to do about their feelings. Pen was about to marry another man, what is the protocol?
Great banter, easy to read, meddling brothers make for a quick afternoon read.

Crazy Imperfect Hearts by Samantha Christy

This book took me by surprise; I went in blind and enjoyed the ride!
Lucas and Regan are not supposed to work, yet they do. Lucas has had four previous engagements and zero marriages. Regan has past issues she is working through, but they decide a “baby contract” is what they need.
There will be no emotions involved!
I love how everything does work out, but tears may have been shed.

Made For You by J. Hutchison

I am glad I decided to pick up this book from a new to me author. It was a pleasant surprise kind of read. I love the characters and the storyline, anytime I get to visit a new small town, sign me up!
Liam and Violet take us on a journey to a second chance. Violet returns to Balsam Cliffs after a time in a city she has come to hate. Realizing after 10 years, it is time to return home.
I read this book in about a day, it was hard to put down, because I needed to know what was going to happen.

On the Fence by J.S. Wood

Can Cade get his second chance? He had made plenty of mistakes in his life, many involving Dani. The biggest being breaking up with her while grieving his mother’s death.
Their story is a journey of healing and realizing what they had lost. She has returned to town and needs his help with training her horse. With this comes a little drama, but it is all part of healing. The family makes for some fun side stories.
A new to me author, and I am excited to read more of this series.

The ER nurse and the Outlaw
I loved Jenna and Maverick’s story. Much like the previous books by this author, I read the books too quickly, and did not want it to end. The characters were introduced to us in Thornhill Road, and I knew we were in for quite the story.
Jenna and Maverick are from two different worlds, and through the course of their journey, they blend beautifully. Both characters see the real person, and make them better. Jenna thought she knew what she wanted and had her checklist ready until she realized Maverick had opened her eyes and completed her.
Can one night with someone new, be the first night in forever?

Need You To Choose Me by Anna B. Doe

If you like relatable struggles, many emotional moments, and tender gestures, this is your book. Savannah and Blake pulled all my emotions, tugged at my heart, and put me back together at the end.
Savannah is alone, she has lost the important guide in her life, dumped the cheating ex, and a little lost. Going to a charming stranger’s room for comfort is not her, but what she needed.
Back in her small town, living in the shadow of a less than perfect family, she finds herself repeating her mother’s history. Blake has moved to the same small town, to reclaim what is left of his family, and finds so much more.
Being part of the mending of hearts, the growth of family, and swoon worthy moments makes for a wonderful love story.
