First book i ever read of this author and oh my god. from the story itself to the author’s note on the very end of the book, holy shit i have no words. i am absolutely amazed.
the whole plot is incredible, from the moment i read what this book was about, i just wanted to read it so bad, it just caught my whole attention and the possibility of getting into the magical journey that this book is, i couldn’t help myself. i honestly read it as fast as i could trying to make it last forever at the same time. the story was so refreshing, so beautiful.. the background stories blew my mind even though i suspected on so many things that were fact’s at the end.. i was floating on this world bc i really consider this book a magical world tbh; i felt so happy reading it, as i was sad, emotional, excited and really went through every emotion as the characters were going through them. the characters!!! oh god, Analea touched my heart in so many ways, the chemistry between our main characters was so good (they were vulnerable but they find their way to each other so beautifully), the best friends added a touch of reality in this story that is not at all based in reality (as i said, it’s magical), even Vera had her moment!! but anyways, everyone fit so so soooo well. and the best is: short chapters!!!
i don’t know if it is because i’m almost 26 that i felt so connected with pretty much everything that our main character was living, or if it is because my grandfather also passed at the beginning of this year and i’m still very sensible about it (the author’s note got me crying so bad bc i just wish we hadn’t go through these losses, i wish we could’ve known something that we didn’t back then that could’ve helped and make the difference.. but we must accept how things played out and we must live cherishing the good things and memories that we have).
so, it’s a 100% yes from me, i would absolutely recommend this book. and i promise, if you’re anything like me you most likely won’t regret it for a second.

Yeah it’s a no for me. i cringed so so so many times i can’t even remember the moments that i actually enjoyed of the book.
yes, Breaker is an incredible male character BUT i swear the man stressed me out A LOT.
Lia just wasn’t for me, she was very stupid honestly.. why would she go through all the shit she went with her soon-to-be mother-in-law?? and she was so damn insecure like.. what the hell was the shit she put up with Breaker when he was seeing Birdy?!? SHE WAS ENGAGED and yet had the audacity of being so damn jealous of another woman with his best friend that she talked shit about that woman without even really know her.
which brings me to their relationship (B&L) even if they were cute best friends, it was sooooo unhealthy that codependency they had with each other.
i can admit i laughed a couple of times, but even tho i tried like reeeally tried to love the book, i didn’t. not even close. the book was too long, and the main thing should have been resolved like at the first 50% of the book. i was expecting something else and it just wasn’t for me.

This was so fluffy and so cute and sweet!!
i’m not particularly a fan of celebrity romance tbh but this was nice.. and THANK GOD for Anthony!!
the romance is sweet, it’s friends to lovers so it’s pretty much slow burn through the whole story; but it’s so nicely written that you end up don’t mind it at all 😂
the characters were very lovable, even the manager of our sweet boy was a very likable woman (and don’t even get me started with Freya!! girls code 🫡😉).
there are soooo many taylor swift references, from the title of the book to so much more in the story.
this is the first book i’ve read from the series, actually first book from this author too; and i gotta say.. i’m not disappointed at all (i’m already looking forward to read more about this author).
loved it, a 100% from me 🫶🏻🩷

There was nothing wrong with the book, it was just too boring FOR ME.
i’ve read a lot of reviews about this one, and honestly i’m glad it was a 5 star read for a lot of people, but it just wasn’t wrote for me 🥲
i struggled A LOT to finish it, in fact i almost didn’t finish it. when i got to the 50% of it i was already so done with the story, but i got to the end because i’m stubborn 🙂
one thing i did liked was how it was written, so nicely.. 🩷 sadly it wasn’t enough for me to love the story or even to connect with the characters at any point.
but if you like the vibes:
- fake fiancé (engagement)
- hot billionaire (bit nerdy)
- friends to lovers
- small town,
by all means you should try it 👍🏻
(i really hate leaving bad reviews 😒😔)
