“I can tell you my secret right now: At the end of this week, only one of us will make it home alive.”

This is my second book by McFadden and she is truly starting to grow on me. Do I like her characters? For the most part no. I’m not even a huge fan of part of the story, but what she does with the climax is where it gets me every time. I will definitely continue reading her books. This one was a quick read, where you truly don’t know who did what.

“Understanding the history of earth is interesting and useful, and besides, dinosaurs are just fucking cool.”
Reanimated Rex by Alex Ebenstein
Being the lover of Jurassic park I am, I feel like I had too high of hopes for this one. Sadly it was a let down, the story was just too short. I needed more. Started off the book and I was excited because the prologue was 👌🏼. But it was all down hill from there. I couldn’t stand the characters and def not enough of the dinosaurs for me. Then it was over and I was left underwhelmed. #ipreview via @preview.app

Oracle by Thomas Olde Heuvelt

“‘When you can’t point to a logical explanation for something, it usually means that you haven’t found it yet.”
Oracle by Thomas Olde Heuvelt
Release Date: April 30th
This is my third attempt at reading a Thomas Olde Heuvelt book, and I’ve come to the same conclusion for each one. The stories start off so strong for me and I’m hooked from the beginning, but somewhere along the middle it drags on to the point that at the end I don’t really care what happens.
There’s a lot that happens in the middle of the book, but I don’t think it’s all necessary, and I would have enjoyed it more if it was a bit shorter so it didn’t drag on as much. Because truly the story is good with so much potential.
