It's so hard to follow this book when Jack is so stilted. His grammar is alternately impeccable and awful.

More than that though is his family's reaction to him in part 2. While I wanted to know what happened next, it was more out of curiosity than because I thought it was a gripping read.

Why did I force myself to finish this? Because hundreds of people on Amazon said it was a good book. I now realize that they're probably her fans and that I strongly disagree.

The book was fairly well written but extremely trite, as in you could swap out some minor details and this book could've featured just about any chick lit heroine.

I feel armed and ready to slash my grocery, toiletry, cosmetic and clothing bills by more than half. Great read for a dry topic and lots of tips presented in a fun, upbeat manner.

I adore this book. from the Prologue, I was engaged and wanted to find out more about the events described and what lead up to them and what happened after.
It's well written with each of the characters slowly fleshed out in a believable way. The author spins a magical weave of circus history, folklore and he own story. Turns out the book has a Biblical foundation with Jacob's story mirroring the Biblical Jacob's life ever so faintly.
Now I have to find that passage and coonect the dots.

BTW, the ending is also quite wonderfully written and not disappointing at all.
