To my surprise, this was a slasher and not a ghost story as I thought it would be based off the title and the cover. 
This was my first time reading Natasha Preston, so I did not know about her use of cliffhangers. I myself have a love/hate relationship with them. 
Needless to say this book left me in suspense!

I have always loved the concept of a grim reaper. I even dressed up as one for Halloween this year! Just the cover alone, I knew I had to read it!  This story has a more 9-to-5 business spin on the traditional one we know. This was a murder mystery that was funny at times as well as emotional. You can’t help but love the characters by the end of book. I believe this was my first cozy mystery and I am happy to say it will not be my last!

Because the main character has been burned so many times before with previous seances I had a lot of doubt. I didn’t know if what was happening was real or not and I also didn’t know who to trust or distrust. This was truly a ghostly mystery.

Okay all jokes aside, this series is insane!
I do not recommend this trilogy if you have coulrophobia.
