Started out strong as a dark twisted romance but lost a bit of its intrigue with the ending for me. Still a good read and a fun take on Peter Pan. Rounding up from 3.75 stars.

This books has all the things a book needs to be a “dark romance!” There’s humor, smut, and murder…what more could you want?!

Honestly the story line isn’t bad but I feel like it was executed poorly. Parts that should have had more detail are brushed over, whereas other parts that aren’t super relevant just drag on. The smutty scenes are ok… detailed and definitely a specific taste that not everyone would be interested in. Also the narrators are some of my least favorite, I enjoyed reading it much more than listening to it. Overall I’d say 2.5 maybe but rounding down.

I loved this book! It kept secrets and slowly hinted at things and slowly revealed them as you read. There’s friendship and loss and war and lust. My only complaint is that I had a hard time fully understanding the creatures, how they relate to one another, their goals/powers…I think it could have been explained in a way that made it easier to comprehend and follow along. Still a great book! Can’t wait to read the next one! Giving a 4.25 and rounding down.

Love love looooved this book!! Better than the first! I found my heart aching over the FMC; I became so invested in her journey!! Lots of mystery and what I believe will be foreshadowing for the next books. Doesn’t end in a cliff hanger but I definitely IMMEDIATELY bought/downloaded the next book! A must read for romantasy fans!
