LIAM STOPP YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO MAKE ME CRYYYYYY 😭😭😭😭😭😭

✨🎸🇬🇧🥁

Reading about Oasis, you realize how they truly were one of a kind. They never tried to pretend to be something they weren’t, just a  couple of lads trying to have fun. This book just made me love music itself so much more. And as a fan, made me feel a bunch of feelings.

It hurt reading this because it’s such a time capsule when the brothers weren’t talking. Noel saying he neither loved nor hated Liam, while Liam said he loved Noel dearly, WAAAAAA😭😭😭😭. It just makes me happy and more appreciative about how they were able to reconcile. I love Liam and Noel, I love the other members (Bonehead, Guigsy, Gem, Andy!!), I love their music. And I’ll always know what they mean.

Ohh what I would’ve done to have Hot Ones exist in the 90s, I know those two would snorted da bomb.

75% of this book made me ask ‘Why would he say/do that..’
But then I just realized Hermann is just insane.
✒️🍂💼🍫

Actually, I don’t have much to say. Wasn’t terrible, wasn’t great. Writing was extremely lush, a lot of observations and monologues. Hella funny sometimes, literally all Hermann did was wake up, eat hot chips, and lie. Definitely a re read in the future.

Nabokov, love you girl. ✌️✌️

Do you guys think she started a fight club? Be honest.

I legit think Moshfegh is a genius. Not only does she capture the cynicism of depression so well, but the themes mixed with dark humor just go wonderfully together.
It’s an extremely bold novel, but not like it’s trying to be edgy, it just feels so raw and open like a wound. I think what makes this better were the characters, because literally all of them are flawed and unlikable (tho I absolutely adored Reva and found Dr Tuttle hilarious),
but with those flaws it makes it feel like your people watching on the New York subway.

Honestly? I can’t even describe how wonderful this was. You must read it for yourself.

Omg I’m kinda sad about this because I really wanted to like it, but I can’t tell if it’s me because I couldn’t connect with any of the characters or the plot and the humor fell flat for me. I think I was expecting something different, also I wanted a pick me up but I fear that if I continue this I’d get put into a slump.

But I’m not going to give up on this completely, if next summer I want to try again I will. But for now this is my first DNF in 2 years since my last book slump 😭😭😭

‘Do more of what you love to honor Kaylee. Spread that love with random acts of kindness for Maddie. Be silly and do something spontaneous and fun to honor Xana. And tell stories with an abundance of laughter to live life like Ethan.’ (Pg. 422)

Drew Giacomazzi.

—————————

An emotional read for a tragic moment in history. Was fast paced while being informative, with the accounts from students, family, and more being such an important part because it reminds people that these four talented, amazing and young people were that, people.

Please remember Kaylee Goncalves, Maddie Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. Not for what happened or who did this to them, but who they were.

Let’s continue to love and support one another. Because that is what they would have wanted.

The first rule of Fight Club is to have fun and be yourself :)
🧼💸💣🩹

This is one of the few times a movie does the book sooo right. Because if having to choose which was better I’d actually have to think about it.

I don’t want to mansplain Fight Club, besides everything I wanted to say has been said. But damn is this book clever with its satire on all its topics it’s calling out,
and the bleak atmosphere of the setting you feel like you’re trapped with the narrator in his small life. I just love how the narrator was able to express his complicated feelings towards his ordinary capitalist life and the golden cage he built that was the fight clubs.

Marla was so awesome. Loved her as much as I did in the movie.
Tyler Durden is literally the embodiment of toxic masculinity. But he’s silly with it.

My only negative is the writing sometimes got repetitive and the ending was a bit disappointing than compared to the movie. But I still absolutely loved it.

I swear they don’t make gay literature like they used to.

Me and twin fr fr 🤞🤞
🍶🎭🐇🍂

I genuinely have so much to say about this book. But since I don’t want to trauma dump, I’ll just say this.

A beautifully written book, with the themes of alienation and loneliness, commentary on society and humanity. This is the one of the best books I have read showing the true horrors of how being an outsider can lead someone to the darkest paths. I’ve never felt this seen, it’s terrifying.

I love you, Osamu Dazai… ima go cry now.
